Review: Flash Cadillac – There’s No Face Like Chrome

Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids – There’s No Face Like Chrome (Epic KE 32488)

Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids, a raunchier version of Sha Na Na, far outdistance the latter as far as coming up with the goods inthe studio. Their surprisingly enjoyable debut album of last year, unlike the group’s stage act, consisted mainly of original material. There’s No Face Like Chrome is even better, but still entirely different from their raucous concerts. Strip off the letterman’s jackets, comb out the duck tails and what you have are six talented and polished musicians.
