Review: Paul Butterfield Blues Band – Golden Butter

Paul Butterfield Blues Band – Golden Butter (Elektra 7E-2005)

The Butterfield Blues Band just didn’t seem to get the attention they deserved. While they were calmly rocking and boogieing into the studio producing such classics as “Shake Your Money Maker,” “East-West,” “Born in Chicago” and “Look Over Yonders Wall,” the public was sweating and screaming over the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Now with “Golden Butter,” you have it all. As the excellent liner notes conclude, “Play it loud.”
