Cameron will be the guest on Pearl Jam Radio this holiday weekend discussing all things Pearl Jam Twenty. You must have Sirus/XM to listen to it live. But fear not, it will show up on iTunes a few days later. Here’s the summary of what to expect.

Will there be any update by Cameron, Pearl Jam, 10 Club or *anyone* about the limited edition PJ20 BluRay that is now unavailable?  There’s a petition which I’m sure everyone knows about that hasn’t been addressed or acknowledged by anyone.  Please respond as to why this amazing piece of work is so limited, especially when demand is so high (ebay prices are topping $400-500).
Really hope to hear from someone on this.

I didn’t say that Cameron would mention. I figured The Robb would discuss. He usually tackles the big issues on the board.

Greg now that it wasn’t brought up by The Rob, can you kindly answer the following questions that should have been asked:

            1. Is Cameron Crowe aware of the petition by 500+ 10c members to release more LE PJ20 blurays?
            2. Is he aware that the black market is selling these for the $400-500 range?
            3. Are there any plans to release more LE blurays even without the original packaging?
            4. Whose call is it to release more – the bands, 10c or Cameron Crowes?
            5.  If the LE blurays will not be made available, does Cameron Crowe permit us to make copies, understanding that this is not our preferred option?

In every communication, have chosen to be respectful and also fair to you, Mr. Crowe.  I have also chosen to use my original name and not hide behind an alias.    There are more questions with regards to price and 10c losing blurays in the mail, which I’ve chosen not to bring up.  We simply want to enjoy all 3 discs on the format that Mr. Crowe intended.

I know…”black market”…it sounds so dangerous.  You snooze you lose.  Such is life.  If only these people spent as much energy in helping the less fortunate the world would be a much better place.  But LE Blurays seem to be all that matters in the world to some.  So sad.

I am dying to buy the LE Blu Ray edition… it got Out of Stock so fast. I was dealing with buying tickets, airplane fares and booking hotels for the 5 PJ gigs in Brazil. I wish they will print it again. I don’t want to have to copy it or download it from the internet. I want to support this movie in the correct way. I went to the screening we had in my town and it was amazing.
I want to have it official in my bookshelf. Please join us on asking 10C to print this jewel again.

Out of stock so fast?  It was up for 23 days.  I’ve booked trips and it doesn’t take 23 days to do so…maybe a few hours.  You had the opportunity to buy and you didn’t.  There are only 500 people that signed the petition and that includes both DVD and Blu-Ray.  I’m sure a manufacture requires a lot more than 250 copies to be made…or should 10C order thousands to meet the minimum order so most sit in their warehouse?  Leave CC and Greg be.  They have a life to live…and now its time for you to live yours.

You all should give it up.  You are an embarrassment to the Pearl Jam fan base.

It’s your opinion. I was talking $$$$ and not time. I had all the time in the world to buy it. But it was either concerts or the Blu Ray. On that particular time it looked that the Blu Ray Limited Edition would be around for a while. Just like the deluxe pack of Vs./Vitalogy (that I currently own).
Am I embarrassment to the Pearl Jam fan base? Great. I am glad. It means I have a life of my own and don’t suck on somebody elses life.

Dave, I’m glad you care about this as much as the rest of us!

Cameron has a major motion picture that he just released called “We Bought a Zoo”.  I’m sure that this project is taking up all of his time, and rightfully so.  Cameron said “your voices will be heard”, and I’m sure it will eventually.

Dave A, happy holidays to you and your family and to everyone else following this thread.

Congrats on the release of “We Bought a Zoo”…great film!!

It’s been nearly 6 weeks since the last time we heard from you about the LE 10C BluRay’s.  Appreciating our eloquence and passion is great, as well as promised of being heard.  We wouldn’t be doing our job as die hard fans if we didn’t continue to press on in the light of no further updates from the band, Kelly Curtis, but most importantly the creator of the art that is PJ20, yourself Cameron.

We are now over 2000 posts on the Pearl Jam forum discussing this topic, all of us who hope that the LE BluRay can be reissued.

Can you kindly provide an update to us?  If it’s not going to happen, or if there is a small chance it will happen, or if there are publishing issues preventing the release right now, let us know.

At this point, we remain hopeful that indeed, our voices “will be heard”.

Thanks and hopefully this makes it to you somehow!

Hopefully CC and PJ won’t burn everyone who bought the standard edition and the 2nd disc via iTunes (or whatever means) by releasing the 3rd disc in some boxset or single disc.  Just release disc 3 on iTunes and then those who don’t have it can get it.  This way those who acted right away and bought it don’t get penalized for buying right away.  It’s a fair way that doesn’t burn anyone.

    • On November 30, 2011 at 12:40 pm Reasonable said

Now that is reasonable.  If PJ re-release this in either a boxset or single disc then every release from here on out that sells out will incur the same bitching and complaining and the fans will demand and harass everyone involved until the end of the world.

      • Another Demetrios . Sweet!! :) Though I still don’t understand why they can’t make more of these Deluxe Editions. They weren’t even numbered, they weren’t even signed! If you guy’s haven’t noticed .. but 10club member’s are looking to buy. Release another batch of PJ20 Deluxe Edition copies.

How about a made to order type of deal. On or even here, let fan’s for one day only place an order within a time span of 24 hours. The total added up (DVD / Blu-ray)  is the amount to be manufactured / shipped out. Just an idea.

Can we ask Cameron why there’s not a stich of footage from 1993, 1994 or 1996?
When they were the most popular thing on planet earth…
