I’ve added the production notes for Singles (after many hours of transcribing). There’s some great quotes from Cameron about making the film, so check them out in the Singles section of the site.

I’m very pleased to present a new article on Cameron Crowe courtesy of writer David Konow over at Creative Screenwriting Magazine. David sent this over himself and it’s substantially longer than the version that appeared in January/February 2001 issue. Thanks David, I appreciate your support.
Peter Staddon, VP of Marketing for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, who posts regular at Home Theater Forum recently stated that Say Anything… should be released on DVD by the end of the year. No features have been announced, but Fox is working closely with Cameron. You may recall, that Cameron has expressed a strong interest to record a commentary track with John Cusack. I will keep you posted on any further developments.
Reuters reports that Mike McCready, lead guitarist for Pearl Jam and Singles alumni, is working with Nancy Wilson on the score for Vanilla Sky. It should be really interesting. Stay tuned for more info as it develops.
Congratulations to Cameron who received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Almost Famous. Here’s a few pictures from the big event:
According to the New York Post, Vanilla Sky wrapped filming today. There will be months of editing and post production work, but it looks like Crowe & company are moving on to the next phase.
That’s right folks. The DVD is out on the streets today. Make sure you pick up your copy now & cross your fingers for extended cut with more extras in the future. Here’s a few DVD reviews to whet your appetite (just in case yours hasn’t arrived yet): DVD Review, The Cinema Laser, DVD Movie Central and A Guide to Current DVD.
Welcome to a site dedicated to the extensive work and career of writer/director Cameron Crowe. I’m hopeful that you will find a wealth of valuable information about Cameron’s past, present and future projects. The site has been in the planning and development stage since last September. It’s not completely ready, but I thought it was time we went live.
Meanwhile, have a look around and stay tuned as the site continues to grow. Obviously, we welcome your feedback. Our email addresses are at the bottom of every page.
